Welcome to Imagineering with Heriot-Watt , a project to develop and deliver exciting engineering experience to 11-14 year olds in Central and South-East Scotland. The project is funded by The Royal Academy of Engieering Ingenious Programme. Activities have been developed by PhD students and Research Associates in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University with help from Dr Bunhead. The activities are delivered by engineering undergraduates at Heriot-Watt University.
The aims of the project are multifold:
1) To harness the enthusiam of engineering PhD students to create engaging engineering activities;
2) To develop the transferable skills of engineering students by providing training and expereince in science communication and public engagement;
3) To inspire 11-14 year olds to consider science and engineering as fun, worthwile and attainable.
